Rare Earth Hardwoods announces the availability of its new Conservancy Grade Decking. This product is manufactured using a mix of durable species, which may include minor non-structural blemishes. Maintaining a striking visual appearance with emphasis on structural integrity rather than natural imperfections is the hallmark of our environmentally friendly Conservancy Grade Decking and lumber.

Conservancy Grade Decking and lumber is recommended for use as decking, handrails, stair parts, benches, structural members, and outdoor structures such as pavilions.

Specifications

Conservancy Grade products currently manufactured as decking are dimensioned to nominal specifications common in the U.S. They are compatible modules of dimension with domestic materials that may also be integrated within a project.

U.S. nominal dimensions have been developed by the industry over the past decades to optimize the yield of materials from second and third growth domestic harvests. This aspect is why a 1 x 4 and 5/4 x 6 actually measure 3/4 x 3-1/2 and 1 x 5-1/2 respectively.

While Conservancy Grade processes adhere to nominal U.S. dimension production practices for ease of integration, the vast supply of our resource can accommodate custom designed dimensions to optimize the materials for all design specifications.
